Eminat Medical Center — EMC — is a family medicine practice in Miramar, founded by Sandra «Vivi» Negrete. Two locations: EMC Miramar East at 2501 Palm Avenue, Suite 112, and EMC Miramar West at 14601 SW 29th St, Suite 108. Bilingual, in their own words, with no interpreter needed — which for a family bringing a grandmother to an appointment is not a detail, it is the whole difference. They publish their prices instead of quoting them on request: without insurance the office visit starts at $95, and you know it before you walk in. Ten insurance plans accepted, and if yours is not on the list they will check it for you. The testing happens in the office — FibroScan, TM Flow and EKG — so the results get explained to you in the same visit rather than in a letter weeks later. Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
